Circle Word: "your"
Writing Book: Z and Y
Students began new jobs this week and began a new morning sign in on the Zones of Regulation board.
Writing: We focussed on writing our own pattern books and adding them to our classroom library and portfolios. Students used their Snap words (circle words, sight words) in their writing. We also worked on a special gift for Mrs. Quinn:).
In addition, students wrote letters to kindergarten students in Fairfax, VA. We received a letter from them asking us to help them celebrate their upcoming 100th day of school. They are collecting letters from every state and chose us to participate!
Reader's Workshop: Students are really building their stamina and exploring new books.
They are using their super powers and doing a fantastic job. It is so exciting to hear and see their progress.
Math Stations:
Counting cards, Sort, Count and Record colors and Race to Trace are repeats from last week.
We added: Our own Counting Collections (Ms. Desantis introduced to us last week). Students estimate, record, count the actual number and draw how they counted.
Geo-boards: using rubber bands to create at least four different shapes they know.
IPAD- Park Math game that reviews patterns.
