Items can be something to share with the class after the estimation activity such as: pencils, erasers, stickers, etc. It may also be something the child brings back home at the end of the day (pennies, Qtips). I will place the items in our Estimation Jar here at school.
Thursday: Royal Reader
The V.I.P. may have one or both parents in to be the Royal Reader on this day (student may also bring another family member or an older sibling in the school). Parents or family members on this day may bring a story to read to the class as a guest reader. The time frame that would work best for our class is 11:30-11:45. We can be flexible, so please let me know in advance if another time works better. Please let me know if a family member is not available to come in on their designated week and we can work something out.
